Bring Bermuda home

Limestone + Cedar began in 2018 with a simple idea: to create candles that feel unmistakably Bermudian.

My scents are inspired by the island’s landscapes, plants, traditions and everyday moments. From the fresh smell of rain on a warm day to cedar-lined trails, pink sand, sea air and the comforting scents of home, each candle is designed to capture a small piece of Bermuda.

Every candle is hand-poured locally in small batches using soy or coconut-soy wax, carefully selected fragrance oils and our signature amber glass vessels.

Handmade with heart

Hi, I’m Nina, the founder of Limestone + Cedar.

What started as a small handmade candle business has grown into a collection of island-inspired candles, home fragrance and gifts available across Bermuda.

I still make the candles by hand, from blending and pouring the wax to finishing the labels, preparing the packaging and packing each order. Keeping that handmade element is incredibly important to me. It means every product receives genuine care and never feels mass-produced.

There may be more candles to pour these days, but the process remains personal.

Inspired by our island

Bermuda is at the heart of everything we create.

Our fragrance names tell their own island stories. Tank Rain captures the fresh, green atmosphere after a tropical shower. Pink Sand is soft, warm and coastal. Railway Trail brings to mind cedar, leaves and quiet walks through the island. Other scents are inspired by familiar places, local plants, seasonal traditions and the natural beauty that surrounds us.

Our Parish Collection celebrates all nine parishes of Bermuda, with each candle given its own fragrance and character. Together, they create a scented journey across the island.

Whether you live here, have visited or simply want to keep a little piece of Bermuda close, we hope our candles bring back a place, a feeling or a memory.

 

Thoughtfully made

We believe beautiful products should also feel considered.

Our candles are made with clean-burning wax and poured into reusable amber glass vessels finished with natural cork lids. Many of our signature candles use upcycled Bermuda bottles, giving existing glass a new purpose and making each piece feel especially connected to the island.

We produce in small batches, which allows us to focus on quality, fragrance and the details that make a handmade product special.

Our packaging is designed to feel simple, natural and gift-ready, whether the candle is being sent to someone special or chosen as a treat for your own home.

Candles have a wonderful way of marking a moment.

Over the years, Limestone + Cedar has created candles for weddings, hotels, local businesses, corporate events, celebrations and meaningful personal gifts. Custom labels can transform a candle into a lasting reminder of a special day, while our gift sets offer an easy way to share a little of Bermuda.
